About me
Welcome to my Web page. I'm glad to have this opportunity to share my credentials with you and to give you some information about myself. Choosing a physician is important and I hope that this will help you with your selection process. If you have any further questions, please feel free to write or give me a call.
Biography
The most important information that patients would like to know about their physicians is about their education and training. I completed my undergraduate degree at UC Irvine. From there, I went to medical school at Boston University School of Medicine. I completed an internship and my residency at New York University Medical Center. Then I came full circle and came home to complete my neonatology fellowship at UCLA. I enjoyed being on the East Coast and the education I received there was excellent, but I consider California home, and it's nice to be back.
About my practice
I love being a neonatologist. Medicine has greatly advanced in the field of neonatology such that we can take better care and manage premature infants. It is very exciting. Our NICU team consists of neonatologists, pediatricians, nurses, respiratory therapists, occupational therapists, home health nurses, nutritionists, and a variety of pediatric subspecialists who all work together to care for our little patients. We try to provide as much comprehensive care as possible while our patients are here with us in the NICU, and we make sure that same care is continued when babies go home with their parents by coordinating all the appropriate follow-up appointments that are necessary.
How I thrive
I thrive because coming to the office is not just work for me. I strive to make a difference in the lives of my patients by providing the best care that I can. I also balance my career and time with my family, who are a major priority in my life. So weekends are usually filled with lots of family outings to parks and different restaurants. I also try to take time to read a good mystery book once in a while.
