About me
Welcome. I am happy to have this opportunity to introduce myself and allow us to interact via the internet. I feel very fortunate to work in such a cohesive environment and to know that you and I are supported by so many wonderful health care providers, both within our medical group, and within the department of obstetrics and gynecology.
Biography
I have been very lucky throughout my education and training to have lived in so many wonderful places. Born in Illinois, I was able to escape the cold winters and go to high school in Southern California, and attend UCLA for my undergraduate work. There, I developed an interest in medicine by working in the medical field, doing research in microbiology and neuroscience. Medical school at the Ohio State University was an incredible experience. I could not have had better hands-on training and enjoyed becoming a Buckeye! My residency was done at the University of Colorado in Denver. My family and I loved Colorado, summers hiking and biking in the mountains and winter skiing the best powder around. My training there was extremely comprehensive and left me feeling confident that I can take great care of my patients.
About my practice
Our medical group and the OB/GYN department in Southern California, is committed to delivering the highest quality medical care. I work in the San Juan Capistrano Medical Offices. We are a very tight-knit group, with wonderful staff, where we enjoy getting to know our patients on a personal level. Working in the field of obstetrics allows me to watch families grow, while gynecology allows me to care for patients for most of their adult life, treating both medical and surgical gynecologic problems.
How I thrive
Along with joining the Southern California Permanente Medical group, becoming and being a parent has been one of my greatest achievements. When I am not spending time with my family and children, I am an avid mountain biker. I enjoy early rides in the local Laguna Coast Wilderness Park and anxiously anticipate a yearly group trip to Moab, Utah. I believe physical, spiritual and mental well-being are important to myself, my family and my patient's health and try to combine them for myself and my patients. When time permits I enjoy exercising my brain by reading both history and fiction.
